PPK
Updated: Oct 5, 2024
Employee Capital Plans (PPK) in Poland are a government-backed savings scheme designed to enhance retirement security for employees.
PPK aims to encourage long-term savings by involving employees, employers, and the state in a collaborative funding model. It operates as part of Poland's third pillar of the pension system, complementing existing voluntary pension schemes. Contributions are made by:
Employees: 2% of their salary (with an option to contribute an additional 2% voluntarily).
Employers: 1.5% of employees' salaries (with an option to contribute up to 2.5% voluntarily).
State: An initial welcome contribution of PLN 250 and an annual contribution of PLN 240
PPK is available to all employed individuals aged between 18 and 70, including foreign workers under the same conditions as Polish citizens. Employees under the age of 55 are automatically enrolled after 90 days of employment unless they opt out. Those over 55 must apply to join.
Participants can withdraw their savings without providing reasons before reaching the age of 60.
PPK funds maintaining organisations are different for each employer.
Below given is one example:
https://gstfi24.pl/ To Login my PPK profile, we have to give participants and PESEL numbers. Initially, we receive a PIN number on the registered mobile number, if we don't save it, we need to select "Forgot Password". Companies do not provide employees' phone numbers to the financial institution. We have to call 801 690 555 to register our mobile number; they will ask us to send a hard copy of the filled form. https://www.gstfi.pl/_fileserver/item/1504522
Please send the signed document to ProService Finteco Sp. z o.o. ul. Konstruktorska 12a, 02-673 Warszawa. You can find this address in the above PDF file.
After two weeks, the mobile number will be updated in PPK.
Now select "Forgot Password" and reset your login password.
Once login to the https://gstfi24.pl/ URL, you need to update your bank account number.
It will take 2 to 3 days to update the bank account.
Now, we can withdraw the balance amount.
