  • In General, any foreigner can apply for a one-year employment work visa.

  • After joining the Company, the employer (Company) will raise the TRC or EU Blue card within a year. (TRC and Blue card validity is three years).

  • Once 5 years are completed in Poland (including visa and TRC), the foreigner can apply for a Long-term Resident card.

EU Blue Card – Temporary card

EU Long-Term Resident Card – Permanent card (Every 5 years renewal required)

EU long-term Resident card:

It is based on the individual. If the husband gets it, the wife won’t get it based on dependency.

Minor children will get it based on the parent's card.

So, EU Long-term Resident card holders can open LLCs and work B2B.

An EU Blue card (Temporary card) holder can travel to another EU country, but he has been in Poland for the last two years (out of five years), so he is still eligible to apply for an EU Long-Term Resident Card.

Polish Language B1 Certificate, 5 years complete in Poland, and some other prerequisites are there for this EU Long-Term Resident Card.

Students:

Every year, they have to apply for TRC. i.e. Student TRC is one-year validity.

After graduation (three and a half years) or post-graduation (two years) study, 9 months of TRC will be given for job search.

For the EU Long-term Resident card, a five-year stay has to be completed in Poland.

For students in a year, tenure of 6 months is only calculated for this Long-term Resident card.

i.e 3 years bachelor's degree will be considered 1.5 years for this Long-term Resident card.
