DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR VISA APPLICATION SUBMISSION

1. VISA APPLICATION FORM WITH PLASTERED PHOTOGRAPH

Registered, filled out, submitted, printed and signed by the applicant. All form entries should be properly filled out (no blanks) in Latin letters and signed by the applicant.

The visa application form must be completed either in BLOCK LETTERS or typed in without any omissions, amendments or deletions and signed by the applicant or the applicant’s parent.

2. VISA APPLICATION CONFIRMATION

Document printed along with visa application form. It contains a bar code and serves as a confirmation of appointment. The file is attached to the email.

3. ONE PASSPORT-SIZE PHOTOGRAPH

A document provided by Visa Application Center. It serves as a confirmation of the appointment.

Photos submitted to obtain the visa must meet the following criteria: photo size must be 35x45 mm

4. INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT + COPY OF PERSONAL DATA PAGE

• Passport must be signed, valid for at least three months after the date of intended departure from Poland, and issued no earlier than ten years ago, with at least two blank visa pages (excluding the amendments/endorsements pages at the back). A passport should be submitted without plastic or leather covers.

• You need to provide one copy of the passport data pages (the first and the last one)

• Copy of the pages with Polish/Schengen visas, if issued- if the visas were in the previous passport – a copy of that passport’s data pages - the first and the last one.

Additionally, the following types of Indian passports are not accepted:

a. Handwritten or not machine-readable Indian passports issued after April 1, 2010.

b. Passports containing a manual entry (observation) made after April 1, 2010, if the passport holder's biographical data (biodata) were changed.

5. COVER LETTER

Mentioning the purpose and duration of travel, a list of attached documents and other useful information.

6. HEALTH INSURANCE POLICY + COPY

180 + 180 days + 5 days -- Any Insurance Company will only give 365 days of insurance like this.

In the case of applicants for a work visa, a foreigner entering the territory of the Republic of Poland shall present medical insurance with a minimum insurance amount 30 000 EUR covering all expenses that may be incurred during his or her stay in the Schengen Area due to the need to return for medical reasons, urgent medical care, emergency hospital treatment or death. The insurance should cover a period until the work start date and additional 2 weeks. The Consul may decide to refuse to issue a visa if the foreigner does not have insurance.

Question:

Has anyone applied for and got a 'National D Visa: Others' to invite parents for more than 3 months here? I wish to invite my mother for a one-year duration. Also, is National D Visa: others the correct category under which one should apply to invite parents here, or should it be 'National D Visa: Dependent'?

Answer:

Others or dependents will work. You can apply to show sufficient funds, proof of accommodation, a one-way flight, and insurance. I recently bought insurance from ubecud.pl this is Axa's official website for travel insurance for foreigners. This particular policy is on the approved list of insurance for a Schengen visa. I paid 414 zł for 6 months. For 12 months, it was a little over 700 zł. Cheaper than any insurance I could find in India.

Query:

The primary applicant has been working in Poland for the past six months and has ZUS, Group Insurance and Medical insurance.

While applying dependent visa for a Family (Wife and two children), is Travel insurance not required?

Answer:

It is required. Because the ZUS (for dependents) and everything else will be applicable once they enter Poland, travel insurance is required for travelling purposes. And unfortunately, they (the embassy) expect to have travel insurance for the whole visa period.

7. PROOF OF SOLVENCY | WORK PERMIT + COPY

Documents confirming the sufficient financial resources to cover costs of living and return travel to the country of origin of residence.

Applicant applying for a national visa must provide a document confirming that he has sufficient financial resources to cover:

a) The cost of returning to the country of origin in the amount of 2500 PLN (minimum) to cover returning to the country of origin (other than a country neighbouring Poland or an EU/EFTA member).

b) Living expenses - 75 PLN/day of the intended stay.

The documents cannot be issued more than one month before the submission of the visa application.

8. FLIGHT RESERVATION

9. VISA FEE – 6739 INR --- Only Cash. No CARDS are accepted in VFS Office.

10. STATEMENT ON ACCOMMODATION – DOCUMENT CONFIRMING PLACE OF STAY IN POLAND

For example, Hotel Reservation booked for the first 30 days of stay in Poland.

The reservation document must contain ain following info: date of reservation, applicant’s name and surname, hotel address, hotel phone number, stamp, and information on the amount of money paid.

11. RESIDENCE PROOF

Any official document proving residence in the Consular of Poland in Mumbai's jurisdiction is the passport's address.

12. DOCUMENTS CONFIRMING FAMILY TIES – MARRIAGE AND CHILDBIRTH CERTIFICATES

Official document (in Polish or English) confirming the family ties apostilled by the MEA/legalized. Please note that affidavits will not be considered official documents in this regard

14. BANK STATEMENT

Certificate of the amount of the credit card limit issued by the bank (any bank located in India, Poland, or another country is allowed). OR

A certificate of availability of money in the Polish or European Union bank or a cooperative savings and loan association located in the territory of the Republic of Poland or European Union (It cannot be a bank located in India).

Note:

For HDFC write an email to priorityredressal.creditcards@hdfcbank.com requesting for credit limit certificate. They send it in 1-2days

15. FOR CHILD APPLICATION:

• Copies of signed ID documents of the parents of the applicant.

• Present the proof of parents accompanying the minor – written statement and flight reservations.

You will get the certificate within 3 days.

If we request, they will send the hard copy also

Another Point:

Only polish bank statements are valid. Most Polish bank statements do not need any seal and signature, and they will be printed on the last page of the statement. So online (download) should be ok.

But as per my understanding, there is no Clarity on India or Poland Bank statements. It's better to put both (if you have), Else anyone.

Question:

Do we need to present the credit limit original hard copy certificate to VFS, or is a scanned copy also fine?

Answer:

An original hard copy would be better; a printed copy is also acceptable if you don't have the original hard copy. SBI and AMEX Won't give certificates...so we have to give credit card statements... Nowadays, we are opting for credit card statement soft copies. Still, those soft copy prints are also acceptable. Basically, we have to prove that we have a financial backup in India.

Notes:

I have tried to book appointments in a Single VFS Account and Multiple Applications.

I cannot get the date and time for an appointment. Just received an error. At that time, I emailed VFS and received their below reply.

Reply from VFS: Addressing your below email, we would like to inform you that you have to schedule the appointment individually for all the customers.

Request you to refer to the below-mentioned link to schedule an appointment:

Rejection Reasons:

It was noted that due to 2 reasons, the VISA got rejected.

(1) You do not have sufficient financial means for the duration of the intended stay

(2) You have not justified the purpose and conditions of the intended stay.

Telegram BOT for Schengen visa Slots:

This is Visard bot. It sends notifications about available time slots for applying for a Schengen visa.

Question:

Can we apply for a dependent visa along with an employment visa in Poland? Is it allowed to send both applications together? If yes, how do they ensure that the dependent gets the visa processed after the Employment Visa?

Also, how do we plan the Visa slots in such cases?

Should I book two appointments, 1 for National Employment and another for Dependent?

Answer:

You can send both files together on the Same day.

Many of us submitted applications together and got approved with no issues.

Yes, we need to book a separate appointment for each applicant.

If you submit them on the same day, let the counter guy know so keep all of them in the same file they are going to send to the embassy. If you are submitting it on a different day, then you have to give your main applicant application number in the cover letter

Query:

My visa is expiring on March 31st And blue card decision is done but yet to collect.

If i apply for wife's visa now what will be the validity for her ?

Answer:

TRC or EU Blue Card Decision Letter is sufficient to apply for a dependent Visa in India.

Without Decision letter dependent visa validity will be March 31st only.

With decision letter dependent visa validity will be One Year.
